Mark Laita’s new exhibition, Created Equal:New Work, opens at the Fahey Klein Gallery in Los Angeles on December 10th and runs through January 23rd, 2010. Mark Laita was taking pictures of snakes for his latest photography project called Serpentine. Laita’s first book of non-commercial work, Created Equal, is the result of an eight-year-long, cross-country project featuring 8×10 black and white portraits of Americans from a wide array of cultures, occupations and backgrounds. Laita's work has been exhibited in galleries in both the United States and Europe, including Fahey/Klein Gallery in Los Angeles, Camera Work in Berlin, and Three Punts Galleria in Barcelona.
