While I have always enjoyed Kurtzman's horror flicks and magnificent special and make-up effects, I was anxiously awaiting his directorial debut into another type of film. Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2015 Format: Prime Video Verified Purchase

Director Robert Kurtzman's first foray into the action/thriller genre certainly won't be his last. Deadly Impact is about as original as its title. As Flannery's character gets closer to finding the assassin, he becomes the object of the assassin's wrath and the cat-and-mouse game begins. This is a pretty generic film, there's not much here at all to really separate it from countless other 'cop versus lunatic' movies and as such, it's pretty disposable and forgettable. The film starts off reasonably well, if a bit on the corny side (Really? Joe Pantoliano plays an assassin who is wreaking havoc on his victims, and Sean Patrick Flannery plays a cop on the team assigned to stop him.
Audience Reviews for Deadly Impact (To Live and Die) Nov 16, 2012. I was not disappointed, as "Deadly Impact" is a solid thriller. After such a riveting start, Deadly Impact seems to be on course to making The Lion a classic cinematic criminal yet winds up lacking the drive to keep pulses above a rate akin to when watching an episode of an average police television series.
